1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Voltra Electrical website at voltraelectrical.com.au and the engagement of electrical services provided by Voltra Electrical ("we", "us", or "our"), a licensed electrical contractor operating in Victoria, Australia (REC 37324).

By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services

Voltra Electrical provides residential and commercial electrical services including but not limited to: switchboard upgrades, LED lighting installation, powerpoint installs, EV charger installation, smoke alarm compliance, CCTV and security installation, solar battery systems, appliance installation, and 24/7 emergency electrical services.

All electrical work is carried out by or under the direct supervision of a licensed electrician in accordance with the Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000) and all applicable Victorian legislation and regulations.

3. Quotes & Pricing

  • All quotes provided are estimates based on the information available at the time of assessment. Final pricing may vary if additional work is required upon inspection.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • A written quote will be provided before any work commences for jobs above a minor works threshold.
  • Call-out fees may apply for emergency or after-hours services. These will be communicated prior to dispatch.
  • Voltra Electrical is not registered for GST. All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are GST-free.
  • A minimum deposit of 10% of the quoted amount is required upon acceptance of a quote before any work is scheduled or commenced.

4. Bookings & Cancellations

  • Bookings can be made via our website, phone, or email.
  • We request a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances such as emergency call-outs or adverse weather conditions. We will provide as much notice as possible in such cases.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of work. The remaining balance (after the initial deposit) must be settled on the day the job is completed.
  • Where payment cannot be made on the day of completion due to exceptional circumstances, a deferred payment arrangement may be agreed upon in writing by both Voltra Electrical and the client prior to the completion of work. Any such arrangement must specify a fixed payment date of no less than 7 days and no more than 14 days from the date of job completion.
  • Deferred payment arrangements are only valid when documented in writing and signed or acknowledged by both parties.
  • We accept payment by bank transfer and other methods as agreed at the time of booking.
  • Invoices not paid by the agreed due date may incur a late payment fee. We reserve the right to pursue outstanding amounts through appropriate legal channels.
  • Title to any goods supplied does not pass to the client until full payment is received.

6. Warranties & Guarantees

All workmanship carried out by Voltra Electrical is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. This guarantee covers defects in workmanship but does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, or acts of nature.

Manufacturer warranties apply to all materials and equipment supplied. We will assist in facilitating warranty claims where applicable.

Our services and guarantees are provided in addition to, and do not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Voltra Electrical's liability for any claim arising from the provision of services is limited to the cost of re-performing the services or refunding the amount paid for the services in question.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, arising from the use of our services or website.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the ACL that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when requesting services.
  • Ensure safe and reasonable access to the work site at the agreed time.
  • Inform us of any known hazards, asbestos, or other risks on the property prior to commencement of work.
  • Obtain any necessary approvals, permits, or body corporate consent required for the work.
  • Not interfere with or attempt to modify any work carried out by Voltra Electrical.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Voltra Electrical website, including text, images, logos, graphics, and design elements, is the property of Voltra Electrical or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

10. Website Use

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website or its related systems.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the website at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from such actions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
