EXHAUST FAN / FINISHED INSTALLATION

CONSIDERED / FROM START TO FINISH

Fan. Duct. Outlet.
Checked together.

We assess the electrical connection, switching and proposed fan. The installation plan also identifies the duct path and external outlet work needed.

Roof penetrations, exterior vents and other building work are included only where specifically agreed in the quote.

Plan your exhaust fan

03 / KNOW YOUR SETUP

Before replacing the fan.
Understand the airflow.

Room use, existing ducting and access help define the right approach.

Fan selection
Choose for the room and duct resistance, rather than relying on an advertised free-air figure alone.
Discharge route
Plan a suitable discharge path and termination. An existing ceiling opening does not establish that the duct arrangement is appropriate.
Replacement air
Air must be able to enter the room for extraction to work effectively. We discuss the room arrangement as part of the assessment.
Controls & access
Separate switches, timers or supported sensors can be considered. Allow access for cleaning and maintenance.

05 / BEFORE WE GET STARTED

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Do you provide bathroom exhaust fan installation in Brighton?

Yes. We cover every part of Brighton (VIC 3186). Include your street and a short description of the job, and we will come back to you about timing. We also cover Brighton East and Elsternwick.

Should my Brighton bathroom fan be ducted outside?

Ducting to outside removes moisture properly. In houses we run the duct through the roof space to a suitable outlet.

Do you work on period homes in Brighton?

Yes. Period homes often have lath-and-plaster ceilings, decorative features and older wiring, so we plan access and fixings carefully and check the existing circuits before adding to them.

Can you replace an existing bathroom exhaust fan?

Yes, subject to assessment. We check the opening, electrical connection and duct arrangement before selecting or confirming the replacement.

Will a bigger fan fix condensation?

Not necessarily. Duct restrictions, replacement air, room use and building conditions can also contribute. Ventilation is assessed rather than promised as a cure for every moisture problem.

Can you promise a silent fan?

No. Fan design, ducting and installation conditions all affect noise. We discuss options without promising silent operation.

Can I supply the fan?

Send the exact model and installation instructions first so suitability for the room and duct route can be assessed.

YOUR HOME / YOUR AREA

Brighton.
A clearer next step.

Brighton had about 23,250 residents and about 10,220 homes at the 2021 Census, with a median age of 48. 57% of Brighton homes are separate houses, where fans usually duct through the roof space to outside. Older bathrooms sometimes have no fan at all, or one that vents into the roof space rather than outside. Fans can be linked to the light or run on a timer or humidity sensor. Next door, the share of homes that are flats or apartments is Brighton East at 8% and Elsternwick at 41%, with Brighton in between at 20%.

Our Lalor base is about 27 km from Brighton, which lies to the south, in Melbourne's bayside, around Church Street and Brighton Beach. Brighton sits within the Bayside council area. Next door, we also cover Brighton East, Elsternwick, Gardenvale and Hampton.
